A Quick Look Inside InsurePro September 2026
Welcome to InsurePro's October updates: a quick read covering the latest market dynamics, where we have been showing up, and what we have been building for our clients and partners.
InsurPulse – Market Insights
1. NAPEO's new industry research shows PEOs still growing
More than 500 PEOs now operate in the U.S., supporting more than 233,000 client businesses and 5.4 million worksite employees. PEOs serve about 14% of businesses with 20 to 499 employees, and the industry generated $446 billion in revenue in 2025.

2. For MGAs, capacity is no longer just about access - it's about proof
A recent industry piece ahead of MGA Outlook Europe makes the point directly: access to capacity alone is no longer enough. Carriers and reinsurers are getting more selective, favoring MGAs that can demonstrate underwriting discipline, portfolio performance, and real-time data, not just growth. The bar for "proving it" keeps rising.

3. Brokers are leaning on PEOs to place their hardest workers' comp accounts
As carrier's appetite keeps tightening in high-risk industries, more brokers are turning to PEO workers' comp programs as an alternative for clients facing premium spikes, non-renewals, or assigned-risk placement. It's a shift worth watching for PEOs and MGAs alike — the broker channel is increasingly treating PEO placement as a mainstream strategy, not a last resort.

4. MGAs: smarter scale, not just growth
MGA premium hit nearly $90B in 2024, but AM Best has moved its outlook to stable. Carriers now favor MGAs with consistent loss ratios, clean reporting, and strong underwriting governance, and AI is moving into daily use for tasks like intake and loss run extraction. It works best when it supports human underwriters rather than replacing them.

Solution Spotlight
What the current WC market demands and how InsurePro delivers it.
Loss costs have been coming down for years, while medical severity and wage inflation keep climbing. Margins that looked comfortable a few years ago do not look the same today. In this market, the difference between a profitable WC book and a problem book comes down to desk discipline - correct class codes, verified mods, catching misclassified payroll before it binds, and a documented rationale behind every decision.
InsurePro’s certified workers’ comp underwriters work your submissions inside your guidelines, authority grid, and referral rules; validating classifications, verifying mods, reviewing loss runs, and preparing quote-ready pricing. We release directly within delegated authority or route to your team for sign-off first. Our clients do not use us just for intake. They trust us with the underwriting itself — with your authority and your final say built into every file.

Investing in How We Connect with Clients
InsurePro rolled out a multi-session voice and accent training program for the team, focused on one goal: making every client conversation land the way it's meant to. Our specialists talk with clients across the U.S. every day, and we wanted to sharpen that connection even further.
The training went beyond accent alone. It focused on the nuances that shape how a conversation is received across geographies- including how to listen for what a client means, not just the words they use.
It's a small investment with a big payoff: sharper communication, stronger client relationships, and a team that keeps raising its own standards.
